”An important potential for green house gas abatement lies in the energy sector”
The most important abatement lever lies in the progressive development of power generation from renewable energies. The development of renewable energies alone could reduce green house gas (GHG) emissions by about 34 million tons by 2020. Additional costs, that this measure would imply for the energy utility companies, would allude to 32,00 EURO per abated ton of GHG.
